Laser Tattoo Removal Treatments at Body Details Miami
Some tattoos are badly inked. Others are poorly designed. And yet others remind us of a part of our life we’d simply like to forget. No matter the reason you want to get rid of your tattoo, we can help you do it. At Body Details, our Miami laser tattoo removal experts have helped thousands of clients get rid of the ink on their body that they didn’t want anymore.
If you go down to the local supermarket or beauty supply shop, you can probably find a few different topical creams that claim to remove tattoos. But these claims are rarely, if ever, backed up by results. Topical creams simply don’t work. In order to eliminate a tattoo, you have to go deeper than the top layer of skin.
With just a few short sessions, Body Details can permanently eliminate your tattoo with our laser technology. Give us a call today at (305) 424-9069 for a free consultation. You can also visit us at our Miami location at 45 NE 36th Street, across the street from Target.
How Laser Tattoo Removal Works
Laser tattoo removal works by cooperating with your immune system to eliminate the ink. You may have noticed your tattoo fading. It fades because your body slowly breaks down large ink particles into smaller ones, which are then carried away by your immune system. Given enough time, your tattoo would disappear on its own. Our laser technology speeds up that process, going to the lower layers of the skin to rapidly break up ink particles.
After your first one or two sessions, there’s a good chance that you won’t notice any fading at all. In fact, your tattoo may appear darker. Your immune system needs time to break down and carry away the ink. And since our lasers target the deepest ink first, your tattoo will appear darker, since the immune system naturally carries away the ink in those lower levels of skin first.
During the session, you may experience an unpleasant sensation similar to what you felt when you got your tattoo in the first place. However, we will numb the area with an ice pack before we even start. Then, we’ll use cryogenic technology to blow extremely cold air over the area and keep it numb before, during and after the procedure to minimize discomfort.
Each session will take between 10 minutes and an hour, depending on the size and location of your tattoo. After each session, you will need to wait 10 days before your next session to give your immune system time to eliminate the broken-down ink. Many people are able to have their tattoo completely removed in five to six sessions, but some tattoos simply take longer, whether due to the age of the tattoo, the color of your skin, or other factors.
Why Choose Body Details
Body Details is the premier laser tattoo removal center in Miami. We use True Laser® technology, which is rated Class IV by the FDA. This means it’s the most powerful laser technology currently available for tattoo removal.
Other weaker lasers are only effective on lighter skin with dark tattoos. With our True Laser technology, we can adjust our laser wavelengths to eliminate tattoos on virtually any skin color. What’s more, we can adjust the strength for sensitive areas and target just the ink so the surrounding skin isn’t affected.
Our Miami laser tattoo removal professionals who will be performing the procedure have all received their Master’s Degree as either Physician’s Assistants (PAs) or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners (ARNPs). In addition, each technician has been trained by the manufacturers of the tools we use and are supervised by our board of Medical Directors.
Laser Tattoo Removal FAQs
Will tattoo removal leave a scar?
When you receive treatment from a professional laser tattoo removal technician, there should be no additional scarring. That’s not to say that there won’t be any scarring at all. If there was scarring when you first got your tattoo, that scarring will remain. However, if you don’t follow proper aftercare procedures after your session, it may lead to scarring.
Scars don’t have to be permanent, though. If you have scars from your tattoo or that occur after removal, we can help lessen their appearance through laser skin resurfacing and other methods.
Does the whole tattoo have to be removed?
Not necessarily, no. If there is only a part of your tattoo that you want to be removed so you can get new ink, we can specifically target sections of the tattoo. Or, we can fade it enough that it can be easily covered up. This is a great option for those who want new ink, and don’t want to pay for all the sessions it takes to completely remove a tattoo.
We can also help you “clean up” a tattoo. If the original artist had bad lines, or your tattoo features a name that you would rather not be there, we can provide a solution. Set up your free consultation today to learn about all of your Miami laser tattoo removal options!
What side effects should I expect?
Side effects are common after laser tattoo removal, but they are typically minor and easy to treat with proper aftercare. Many of these side effects are the same as the ones you would experience when you get a tattoo, so they should be familiar. Some side effects you may deal with include:
- Hyper- and hypopigmentation
With proper care, these side effects will generally be temporary. It’s important to keep the area clean and covered. In addition, you should avoid direct sunlight, tanning beds and swimming for a while after your sessions. Your Miami laser tattoo removal professional will give you a detailed aftercare regimen, as well as ointments and other care products.
