Before and After Photofacial Treatments

Skin imperfections no longer require pounds of makeup for coverage or expensive, risky injections and surgeries to eliminate them. Photofacial treatments are the latest craze because they successfully eliminate signs of aging and the results are achieved naturally.

Before and after photos show incredible changes in skin texture and tone, even after a single treatment.

How Photofacial Treatments Work

Using advanced laser technology, photofacial treatments target skin imperfections deep within the layers of the skin. By creating microscopic wounds, the body naturally eliminates the damaged skin cells and replaces them with new ones. These new skin cells are without imperfections, leaving the skin looking renewed. Additionally, photofacial treatments encourage the production of collagen during the healing process. This improves skin elasticity and helps the skin to heal itself faster if future damage occurs.

What Photofacials Treat

As with many other beauty treatments, photofacials are designed to reverse signs of aging and give the skin a more youthful appearance. They’re used to treat a number of imperfections including:

  • Wrinkles
  • Fine lines
  • Age spots
  • Sun damage
  • Large pores
  • Acne scars
  • Loose and sagging skin
  • Rosacea
  • Scars
  • Freckles or birthmarks
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Broken capillaries
  • Skin elasticity

Before and After One Photofacial Treatment

Prior to photofacial treatment, the skin below your eyes and chin may be loose and sagging. You may notice a significant number of fine lines and wrinkles on the skin’s surface, as well as some discoloration.

After just one photofacial treatment, you’ll notice a big difference in the way your skin appears. Wrinkles appear far less visible, and the texture of the skin has significantly improves. With the increase in collagen production, the skin gains back its elasticity, tightening around the chin and under the eyes. Your face may appear thinner as well, since the sagging skin gets pulled closer to highlight your bone structure.

Immediately after any photofacial treatment, targeted age spots and freckles will appear darker for a day or two before fading and completely disappearing. More treatments may be required, depending on what kind of results you’re looking for.

Aside from signs of aging, photofacial treatments are also commonly used to treat acne scars. They can even treat severe redness and irritation caused by intense acne and acne scars. Scars alter the texture of the skin and can be impossible to eliminate without treatment.

After just one treatment, skin tone can be far more even and the appearance of marks can be significantly reduced. The texture can be smoother and the treatment can even prevent new breakouts from occurring. While it’s likely you will need more than just a single treatment to completely eliminate your scars, even one treatment can really improve your skin.

Before and After Complete Photofacial Treatment

Before photofacial treatments, your skin may show significant signs of sun damage. The neck and chest are particularly vulnerable, with sun spots and premature wrinkles, caused by sunbathing and failing to use sunscreen. The forehead and cheeks are also vulnerable and can make you look older than you are.

With significant sun damage, you may require several treatments to completely eliminate this damage; after the recommended three photofacial treatments, your skin can appear completely renewed and fresh. Sun spots can be eliminated, as well as any premature signs of aging, including wrinkles, fine lines, and age spots. Your skintone can be evened out as discoloration is treated and a youthful glow is restored.

If you suffer from severe acne scars, you may also require several photofacial treatments.  With four treatments, for example, your skin’s texture can be transformed. Most acne scars are caused by poorly produced collagen during the healing process. Photofacial treatments are able to not only eliminate current scars, but also boost natural collagen production to prevent scarring in the future. If you think your skin would benefit from receiving either one or several photofacial treatments, don’t hesitate to schedule an appointment. The sooner you begin your laser treatments, the sooner you’ll be able to eliminate any imperfections.
